Now that we’ve covered manually saving, it’s time to start looking into other things. Now that you know how to manually save in No Man’s Sky, you can save your game more and make sure you never have to worry about losing any kind of progress along the way. This can easily be accomplished, though, which means being able to quickly change up your path and save your game should be pretty easy. Of course, this means you’ll need to land on a planet or a space station. This means that you can trigger a save manually at anytime by simply hopping in and out of your ship. See, the way that No Man’s Sky handles saving, is that anytime you leave your ship, then you’ll get a new save file. That doesn’t mean there isn’t a way to manually save your game, though, you just need to know what you’re doing. Unlike many games available these days, No Man’s Sky does not have a save option available openly in the game’s main menu.
